I went to the University Opening and i took some shots. Here are some of them.

First Film Shot

I just took my first shot w. my film camera. I just have to figure out where i can develop it or if there's nobody that does it how can i do it by myself. Not many people/labs still develop 120 film .
Hopefully i'll find somehow to develop it soon. I'll post the shots as soon as i develop them.

Rejected!

A week ago I dropped off a folder with my documents, everything i needed for a transfer from Algonquin College - Photography Program into U.N.A/N.U.A. - National University of Arts, they told me to call today around 3pm. Today I called as they said to see what they think about my grades and the reference letters and everything else i had in that folder, just to find out that they did NOT approved me as a transfer and they told me if i still want to go there i'll have to take an exam and start from the beginning YEAR ONE. Which means that i'll be losing a year that i did at Algonquin. I have to take an exam and make a portfolio of 25 Photographs 18 by 14 or something like that (around there).

I'm fucking pissed at that because I could've just stayed in Ottawa at Algonquin! I wouldn't lose a fucking year like here!!

Here's a couple of shots that I took 5 min before i got the bad news. Hope you guys like them.

Macro

I've tried shooting some macro in my room with one(strip light), a camera, a table, plastic sheet & some shells/star. I have no macro lens so I used my 75-300mm Tamron lens with my 50mm Canon. Its the first time i tried this and i'm satisfied with the results.





I am planing to shoot more with the my new "macro lens".

I took a couple of shots last night in my room on one of my tables. i used an umbrella, wanted 2 try something new and i think the results are ok not 2 perfect but not 2 bad either. There was place for better. Here are a couple of shots from last night.

Old High Key

Country Side & 722 RAW Photographs

Yesterday morning i left for the countryside with my parents. My camera with both my 4gb CF cards. I got back today at 4pm. I managed to fill up one & a half of the cards. As I said In my title 722 Raw Photographs. I shot anything that i liked: Flowers, butterflies, dogs, cattle, the view (took a couple of panoramic, not edited yet but they will be by tomorrow.)

Another Day

I went out in the park to get a couple of shots. There were a lot of people with cameras. I felt different because of the year of college in the photography program I have & of the 75-300mm lens I had on my camera with the battery grip. I tried to take a couple of good shots of the ducks/birds. I was out for about 30 min and got about 80 shots (RAW).

I'm tried doing High Key & Low Key self-portraits, in the mirror with my 580ex II & my DSLR. After taking the photos I photoshopped them less than 5min.

Today was a great sunny day. I was out all day. I took a coupe of shots, I am posting 2 photos with the focus on different subjects, to show how different it looks, so you can see the DOF.



When I got home, someone asked me to take some passport photos for them. I took them with my 580ex ii and my 50mm. It was my first time taking passport shots, I was a little nervous but it was a great experience & it was way easier than I thought it would be.

An idea

So I thought about the photos that i have of City Fidelia & I tried doing something for his cover. I'm not that impressed with what I came up with (the first thought) but he said he likes it so if he does then i'm ok with it. I thought I could take something of him but he said he's cool with this so i'll just leave it like this. Still have to put the name of the album and his name on it but this is what I showed him.




I try to shot something everyday, no matter what. Get practice & also to get used to caring my camera everywhere. Here are a couple of shots from today.

New Project

My friend Luigi a.k.a. City Fidelia is working on his album. Called "2 in 1" & he asked me to make think of something for the cover of the album. I was thinking to do a photoshoot with him outside with a view of the city (City Fidelia, used to be called City Boy) so that would work really good, or i could work with what i already have o him, which is not that much.
I'll probably end up doing another photoshoot.

I was thinking of something at night with a nice view of Ottawa. With the lights of the cars and the streets in the back.

Back from Camping

I got back & 296 shots. Most of them were blurry because i couldn't focus my camera anymore. I'm not sure it's the problem from my lens or from the connection between the lens and the camera. An Error 01 came up while i was shooting. I think I'll have to go have it checked out. I don't have money to buy a new body. I really don't want to have to get another camera.











I also want to enter a new Photo Contest due July 1st for Verge Magazine. I'll be in Romania by then so i'll get to take some nice shots of the people & environment. Hopefully i'll get some nice shots that will amaze the people & judges in Toronto at the Exhibition.

Camping

I'll be out of town for 3 days/2 nights. I'm taking my DSLR with me and two lenses (28-80; 50 mm) & my flash. I'm hoping to come back with some nice shots!
I'll trying doing something creative, something new & hopefully original.

I'll upload something in 3 days!

City Fidelia Photoshoot

My friend Luigi a.k.a. City Fidelia is on he's way to becoming a known rapper. I did a photoshoot for his album and myspace page about a month ago. A couple of the shots from that photoshoot are on my DeviantArt & on his myspace. While shooting he had a friend with him filming, he wanted to show the photoshoot and events that he does.
